Janet Waimin Lee MD, FAAP is a Pediatric Otolaryngologist and an Assistant Professor at Duke University. She grew up in Portland, OR before she began her zigzagging educational journey. She completed her undergraduate education at the University of Pennsylvania before moving to San Francisco to work for two years as a clinical research assistant at UCSF. She then returned to the East Coast for medical school at Duke University, during which she spent a year at NIH researching bone marrow stromal cells at NIDCR. Upon completion of medical school, she moved back to the west coast for residency at University of California - Davis followed by her Pediatric Otolaryngology fellowship at the University of Utah. Her most recent move was back to North Carolina to join the Duke faculty, and she hopes that she will not be moving again anytime soon.
