Dr. Connolly is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and the American Board of Sleep Medicine (AASM). He has also received sleep medicine subspecialty certification and board certified by the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy (AAOA).

From 2005, he has been on staff at the White Wilson Medical Center and Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast on the Florida panhandle. In 2012, he relocated back to his home state of Louisiana where he joined South Louisiana ENT & Facial Plastic in private practice. He has served on the board of directors for the Louisiana Academy of Sleep Medicine, as well as the AASM PAC. From 2013-2018, he served as the Medical Director of the Somno Diagnostic Sleep Lab in Louisiana and is currently a member of the AAO-HNSF Sleep Disordered Breathing Committee. Dr. Connolly has an active clinical practice but also has given multiple presentations at national and regional meetings on sleep topics.

In 2014, he became a fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy. He has participated for several years in the oral examinations, and currently sits on several AAOA committees. He has a very busy private practice made up or allergy and sleep medicine.

Dr. Connolly graduated from Millsaps College in Mississippi and obtained his medical degree from the Louisiana State University in New Orleans. After finishing his general otolaryngology training at the University of Mississippi, he completed a sleep medicine clinical clerkship while on staff at White Wilson Medical Center and SleepMed/Atlanta School of Sleep Medicine.
