PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: This 6 minute video highlights the surgical treatment of intractable Meniere's disease in patients with profound hearing loss by way of a labyrinthectomy and cochlear implant. This can result in resolution of vertigo spells and improvement in hearing. In addition, this highlights the use of cochlear implantation for single sided deafness.
