PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: This video gives a detailed description and clearly illustrates the indications, steps and outcomes of a Modified Wendler Glottoplasty, or endoscopic vocal pitch elevation surgery. This surgery is most often used for transgender women to achieve their desired, gender-affirming voice.

While the original Wendler Glottoplasty was described about 20 years ago, the surgery has undergone significant modification to achieve reliable, reproducible results. There is no existing or easily accessible video that details the original or modified procedure.

In this submission for a Masters of Surgery video, detailed narration overlies a combination of medical illustration, surgical video and clinical results to allow for a complete picture of how this surgery is performed. The goal is that after watching this video, an otolaryngologist who is an expert in endoscopic laryngeal surgery could perform this surgery.
