PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: Labyrinthectomy is an ablative procedure useful in patients with unilateral peripheral vestibular dysfunction and severe ipsilateral hearing loss. In this procedure, the semicircular canals and vestibule are opened methodically, and the neuroepithelial lining of the three ampullae, utricle and saccule are excised.
