Dr. Chun is a professor of otolaryngology and pediatric otolaryngology fellowship program director. He is a board-certified and complex pediatric certified pediatric Otolaryngologist.. He completed his otolaryngology residency at the university of chicago and fellowship at the Childrens National Medical Center in Washington DC. He has many clinical interests in diseases of the head and neck in children with special emphasis in pediatric head and neck neoplasm's and congenital malformations, pediatric airway difficulties, laryngotracheal reconstruction, and chronic ear disease and sleep apnea.
Dr. Chun also works with multidisciplinary groups which include pulmonologists, speech and swallow therapists, and gastroenterologists to assist in the care of children with swallowing, voice, and breathing issues. This allows the child and family to see multiple doctors in one clinical visit.
Along with teaching physicians-in-training and medical students, Dr. Chun is also active in local and national professional societies. He serves as a mentor to first year medical students in their journey through medical education, and serves as the physician liaison for the Ears, Nose, and Throat Surgical interest group for the medical school. He has published articles concerning pediatric ear, nose, and throat diseases, and is involved in clinical outcome studies at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin concerning lymphatic malformations and other head and neck diseases. He has also been interviewed by local television affiliates for his expertise in pediatric otolaryngology.
