Amanda Lauer, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor in Otolaryngology-HNS at Johns Hopkins University. Research in the Lauer Lab focuses on understanding how abnormal auditory input from the ear affects the brain, how the brain, in turn, affects activity in the ear through top-down feedback loops, and comparative models of hearing. Dr. Lauer is also active in mentoring programs aimed at increasing diversity and inclusion in science and supporting early-career scientists.
