Erica Thaler is a Professor and Vice Chair of Otolaryngology: Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania. She has been on the Medical School faculty at Penn for over twenty eight years, and is the Chief of the Division of General Otolaryngology. In addition to a busy surgical practice, she has authored over one hundred original research papers, chapters and a text book, and has been an invited lecturer nationally and internationally, on areas of expertise in Rhinology and Sleep Surgery. She has been a pioneer in innovative surgical management for Obstructive Sleep Apnea, including robotic surgery and pacemaker implantation for nerve stimulation during sleep
