Resident; T-32 Research Trainee
University of Colorado SOM
Aurora, CO, United States
Nam Lee is a T32 Otolaryngology resident at the University of Colorado at Anschutz. The primary objective of my research is to further our understanding of hearing loss in order to better identify the diverse mechanisms of disease origin and ultimately to design targeted therapies. My particular interest is in the molecular and genetic drivers of various hearing loss pathogenesis. I began my career with early involvement in basic science research in genetics and molecular studies and continued in medicine with understanding the potential of molecular and genetic application in clinical management. For my surgical training, I sought out my current T-32 funded position because it allows me to dedicate two years focused exclusively on research and my development as a future independent clinician-researcher.
