Krishna G. Patel, MD, PhD, is an professor at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and was appointed director of Facial Plastic Reconstructive Surgery Division in 2011. Her educational background includes: an undergraduate degree from Columbia University in New York City; an MD/PhD from Medical College of Georgia; residency and board certification in Otolaryngology from University of North Carolina; and fellowship and board certification in Facial Plastic Reconstructive Surgery from the University of California- Davis Medical Center. Dr. Patel’s focus is in the areas of rhinoplasty, cleft lip and palate surgery, vascular malformation treatments, aesthetic facial plastic surgery, facial reconstructive surgery, facial trauma surgery, and reconstruction of Mohs defects. She is also the director of the MUSC Craniofacial Cleft Team. She serves on the board of directors for the American Board of Otolarynogology Head and Neck Surgery.
