Sarah Nuss is a fourth-year medical student at the Warren Alpert Medical School at Brown University in Providence, RI. She serves as the Research Team co-lead for the Global Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery Initiative, an international research collaboration focused on improving global OHNS care through research and advocacy. Sarah spent the past year in Rwanda working with the Harvard Program in Global Surgery and Social Change in collaboration with Partners in Health Rwanda to conduct research on surgical capacity building for first-level district hospitals. She also contributed to the development of an otolaryngology curriculum for medical students at the University of Global Health Equity medical school. Sarah’s prior experience includes public health research and program monitoring and evaluation in Mexico, Costa Rica, and Peru. Her research interests include surgical system capacity building, research equity, and gender equity in otolaryngology.
