Kevin J. Contrera, MD, MPH is a head and neck oncologic and reconstructive surgeon at the University of Pittsburgh focusing on clinical trial development and implementation. He has been supported by the National Institutes of Health and received over a dozen national research awards, including from NRG Oncology, American Society of Clinical Oncology, and American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. He has held national leadership positions in the American Head and Neck Society, American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, and the American Medical Association. He received his medical degree and master's in public health from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He then completed his residency at Cleveland Clinic before pursuing fellowships in advanced head & neck surgical oncology and microvascular reconstructive surgery at MD Anderson Cancer Center.
