Justin Turner MD, PhD is an Associate Professor of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and Vice Chair for Research at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. He is a graduate of the NIH Medical Scientist Training Program at the Medical University of South Carolina and completed residency training in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Johns Hopkins University. He subsequently completed a fellowship in Rhinology and Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery at Stanford University before joining the faculty at Vanderbilt. His clinical practice focuses on rhinologic diseases and treatment of sinonasal and skull base tumors. He is actively involved in rhinologic basic and translational research and is currently funded by the National Institutes of Health. Current areas of research include the role of inflammation in human olfactory dysfunction and medical and surgical outcomes in chronic rhinosinusitis.
