Dr. Wright holds the rank of Professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Alberta and is the director of the Alberta Sinus Centre. He has served as residency program director and currently serves as Director of Postgraduate Surgical Education in the Department of Surgery. He has had the privilege to train 15 fellows in Rhinology/Endoscopic Sinus and Skull Base Surgery. He has served as Facility Chief of Surgery at the University of Alberta Hospital, President of the Canadian Society of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery, and currently serves as Specialty Committee Chair for Otolaryngology-HNS at the RCPSC.
Dr. Wright is a fellow of the American Rhinologic Society and an active fellow of the Triological Society from whom he received the prestigious Harris P. Mosher Award in 2007 for outstanding clinical research. He served as Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Otolaryngology-HNS from 2007-2017 and continues to serve on the editorial board of the International Forum of Allergy and Rhinology as well as American Journal of Rhinology.
