Shaunak (Sho) Amin, MD, is a PGY-4 and Clinical R3 in the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Washington in Seattle, WA. He recently completed an NIH/NIDCD-sponsored T32 research year in the lab of Alberto Aliseda, PhD, Chair of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, with co-mentors and collarborators including Jake Dahl, MD, PhD, MBA, and Michael Barbour, PhD. Together, they have helped start a multidisciplinary Computational Airway Lab at the University of Washington and Seattle Children's Hospital, utilizing novel and existing engineering approaches to assist with diagnosis, therapeutics, and risk stratification of pediatric patients with dynamic and static airway disease. Sho is interested in pursuing a fellowship in pediatric otolaryngology following residency.
