Jonathon O. Russell, MD is an Associate Professor and the Director of the Johns Hopkins MultiDisciplinary Thyroid Tumor Center. He is also the Chief of the Division of Head and Neck Endocrine Surgery and the Director of Endoscopic and Robotic Thyroid and Parathyroid Surgery in the Department of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery at Johns Hopkins. Dr. Russell has an interest in both advanced thyroid cancers and remote access thyroid and parathyroid surgery, with a special focus on remote access or minimally invasive techniques including radiofrequency ablation (RFA) and transoral thyroid and parathyroid surgery (TOETVA). He is also actively pursuing advancements and innovations in the field such as parathyroid autofluorescence.
