David M. Cognetti, MD, is the Herbert Kean, MD Professor and Chair of the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University. Dr. Cognetti received his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He completed his residency training in Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University prior to returning to the University of Pittsburgh for a fellowship in Advanced Head and Neck Oncologic Surgery. He currently serves as the President of the Pennsylvania Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. His clinical and research interests include robotic surgery, sentinel node biopsy, Eagle Syndrome and sialendoscopy.
