Dr. Tamer Ghanem currently serves as the Division Chief for the Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery Department in the Henry Ford Medical Group, Detroit, MI. In addition, he serves as the Director of the Head and Neck Oncology and Reconstructive Surgery Division, Head and Neck Tumor Board at Henry Ford Hospital. He is a clinical adjunct assistant professor in the Wayne Sate School of Medicine. Dr. Ghanem holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, a PhD in biomedical engineering, and an MD all from the University of Utah. He completed a microvascular/reconstructive fellowship at Oregon Health & Science University. Dr. Ghanem has authored and co-authored multiple research papers and book chapters and presented at state, national, and international conferences on topics related to microvascular reconstruction, head and neck cancer surgery, transoral robotic surgery, and patient outcomes.
