Yi Cai, MD is the Director of Sleep Surgery and an Assistant Professor at the Columbia University Irving Medical Center. She completed a hybrid Sleep Medicine and Sleep Surgery fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania and her residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Cai has studied and continues to publish on the application of consumer sleep tracking technologies and shared decision-making to care for surgical sleep apnea patients. She is also pursuing research in examining additional outcome measures beyond the apnea-hypopnea index for surgical sleep apnea therapy.
