Tyler Gathman MS is a third-year medical student at the University of Minnesota School of Medicine. He earned his MS in Biomedical Engineering with an emphasis in machine learning algorithms and signal processing when he completed the Augustine Biomedical Engineering Research Fellowship and completed a BS in Chemical Engineering at Iowa State University. Prior to entering medical school, he was selected for the Mayo Clinic Summer Undergraduate Reserach Fellowship and recently was selected for the Eivind Hoff award for neurtology research from the International Hearing Foundation. He plans on entering Otolaryngology with an interest in neurotology. His research spans disiplines with interests in biomedical engineering and computational methods, machine learning and artificial intelligence, ultrasoud stimulation of the auditory system, and otolaryngology. He also has an educational interest in joint engineering-medical school programs and innovation curriculums.
