Alessandra Bliss is a fourth-year medical student at The Ohio State University College of Medicine that is applying for Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery residency in the 2022-2023 application cycle. She is interested in improving diversity in the medical field, quality improvement, and health literacy. As a medical student at OSUCOM, Alessandra has led efforts to promote diversity through targeted recruitment with the medical college's admissions committee and through her role as student lead for the Independent Student Analysis, the student-led component of the medical college's Liasion Committee on Medical Education reaccreditation application. Within Otolarynglogy, Alessandra has spent time exploring pediatric otolaryngology through research at Nationwide Children's Hospital and participation in the underrepresented minority away rotation program sponsored by the American Society of Pediatric Otolaryngologists.
