Research Fellow
Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary
Adithya Srikanthan, B.S. - Medical Student at Albany Medical College, Research Fellow for Dr. Gregory Randolph
I was born and raised in Portland, OR and received my undergraduate degree in Biology, with a minor in Psychology, from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. I am currently obtaining my medical degree from Albany Medical College and will be graduating in May 2024. I am also a research fellow at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, working for Dr. Gregory Randolph on thyroid & parathyroid endocrine surgery techniques. Growing up, I always had a passion for research, and have been involved in various types of basic science, translational, and clinical research since 2014. I have conducted studies on neuropathic pain modulation, structural heart intervention devices, and pediatric sialorrhea management among others, and I am currently investigating the use of continuous intraoperative nerve monitoring and parathyroid autofluorescence during neck surgery. I hope to incorporate these experiences into my future practice as an otolaryngologist.
Outside of my studies, I spend much of my free time playing the piano, guitar, and tabla (Indian classical drum), and volunteering at The Learning Center for the Deaf.
