Derrick T. Lin, MD, FACS serves as Associate Chief and Daniel Miller Professor of Otolaryngology at Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts Eye and Ear, and Massachusetts General Hospital. His clinical practice is at Mass. Eye and Ear and Mass. General Hospital focusing on the treatment of patients with head and neck cancer and their reconstruction. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Lin has published extensively in head and neck oncology, specifically in the fields of skull base malignancies and reconstructive surgery.
Dr. Lin joined the staff as a member of the Division of Head and Neck Oncology in 2004. He received his medical degree at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine after which he completed residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the Harvard Combined Otolaryngology Program. During his residency he was a NIH T32 grant recipient where he spent 2 years at Memorial-Sloan Kettering Cancer Center focusing on research pertaining to the molecular pathway of progression in head and neck cancer. After his residency, he went to Vanderbilt University Medical Center as a fellow in head and neck oncology, skull base surgery, and microvascular reconstruction.
