Dr. Jonathan B. Ida is an Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine, and a Clinical Faculty at The Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago. As an airway surgeon, he specializes in the evaluation and treatment of complex airway disorders and previously served as the medical director for the Lurie Children's Hospital Aerodigestive Program, and continues as a busy airway reconstruction surgeon. He also serves as Vice Chair for Operations for the Lurie Children's Hospital Department of Surgery, focused on operations within the peri-operative services, as well as quality and safety within the peri-operative spaces, focused on perioperative efficiency, cost savings, staffing, equipment management, and EMR utilization, and actively participates in related research. Dr. Ida's research interests include complex airway reconstruction, complex obstructive sleep apnea, healthcare systems and delivery, and healthcare quality and safety.
