Anthony Sheyn is an Associate Professor of Otolaryngology and the Chief of Pediatric Otolaryngology St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Dr. Sheyn completed the Dual Admissions program at the University of Cincinnati where he received his Biomedical Engineering degree and medical degree. He completed his Otolaryngology residency training at the Wayne State University School of Medicine. Dr. Sheyn then completed a one year fellowship in Pediatric Otolaryngology at the Children's Medical Center of Dallas at the University Of Texas Southwestern Department Of Otolaryngology.
Clinically, Dr. Sheyn practices all aspects Pediatric Otolaryngology with a focus on pediatric head and neck cancer, thyroid disorders, and pediatric sinus disease and skull base tumors. Dr. Sheyn is based at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital and is the Chief of Otolaryngology at St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Through his affiliation at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Dr. Sheyn has helped established a busy multi-disciplinary team that focuses on the care of pediatric thyroid malignancies and is developing teams for the treatment of skull base tumor and head and neck soft tissue sarcomas. Dr. Sheyn also serves as the Director of Resident Research for the Department of Otolaryngology. Dr. Sheyn’s main research interests pediatric head and neck cancer, diseases of the paranasal sinuses, speech and swallowing disorders in pediatric patients with brain tumors and sleep disorders. He has published several articles and book chapters on these topics.
