Dr Moghira Siddiqui FCPS , FEBORL-HNS is working as Clinical Associate Professor at the Department of Otolaryngology Head Neck Surgery at the Aga Khan University Hospital Karachi Pakistan . He is a graduate of Sind Medical College Karachi Pakistan. He completed Otolaryngology residency training at the Aga Khan University Hospital in 2005 . Thereafter he joined King Faisal Specialist Hospital Riyadh , Saudi Arabia. Dr Siddiqui developed interest in Pediatric Airway Surgery during his stay at King Faisal Specialist Hospital from 2007 to 2012 . He then returned to his homeland Pakistan and joined Aga Khan University as full time consultant . He decided to establish pediatric airway services and for the same reason attended North West Pediatric Airway Surgery Course in 2013 by Cincinnati Childrens Hospital Ohio . Dr Siddiqui stayed few weeks at Cincinnati Childrens to directly observe airway procedures at performed by Dr Robbin Cotton and Dr Micheal Rutter. He was able to build a working relationship with this center of repute and he started airway surgery program at his hospital . This was facilitated by some form of mentorship provided by Professor Micheal Rutter . He organised first Peditaric Airway Surgery conference in September 2018 at Aga Khan Hospital Karachi Pakistan with Professor Rutter as Master Trainer.
Dr Siddiqui amd Dr Rutter have facilitated a working partnership between Cincinnati Childrens and Aga Khan University . A complicated post traumatic sub glottic stenosis case was sent to Dr Rutter on Dr Siddiqui recommendation and was operated successfully at Cincinnati Childrens. The patient as gratitude has decided to become airway surgeon and has joined medical school in Karachi Paksitan . Many medical students from Aga Khan Medical College do electives at Cincinnati Childrens. Today at Aga Khan Hospital Dr Siddiqui is known nationally for complex Airway cases.
