PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: Bronchoscopy is a common procedure, occasionally challenging. A panel of airway experts will present difficult cases they encountered and ask for the audience's assistance in managing those cases. They will also discuss their techniques and rational for a successful outcome. A simulation airway model will be used for live demonstration of the techniques described.

OUTCOME OBJECTIVE 1: Recognize the role of simulation in adequate individual and team preparation for airway emergencies

OUTCOME OBJECTIVE 2: Integrate tips from airway experts into their own management algorithm

OUTCOME OBJECTIVE 3: Avoid common bronchoscopy mistakes

BACKGROUND STATEMENT: Airway bronchoscopy is a common procedure and should be mastered by all otolaryngologists taking call and residents in training. A case based interactive discussion with airway experts, supported by live airway simulation is ideal for learning.
