Christian Shannon is a dual MD/MPAff student at Dell Medical School at the University of Texas at Austin. He recently completed a clinical research fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina under the primary mentorship of Dr. Theodore McRackan. His research is primarily focused on quality of life outcomes after cochlear implantation. Christian has an interest in otology due to his own experiences with congenital aural atresia and plans to tie policy work into his career in the future to further expand access to equitable medical care.
