Joshua H Atkins MD, PhD, Professor of Anesthesiology and Critical Care & Professor of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery (Secondary Appointment)., University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine, Dr. Atkins is Director of Head and Neck Anesthesia, and Director of Anesthesia of the outpatient surgicentre of the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He is Co-Chair of the Penn Medicine Airway Safety Committee with fellow panelist Dr. Rassekh and Medical Director of In-Situ Simulation at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, He is Past-President of the Pennsylvania Society of Anesthesiologists and President-Elect of the Society of Head and Neck Anesthesia. Dr. Atkins leads active clinical research and patient safety programs and serves as a full examiner for the American Board of Anesthesiology. Dr. Atkins earned his AB in Chemistry from Princeton University, MD and PhD degrees from Columbia University, and the Certified Physician Executive credential from the Association for Physician Leadership
