Benjamin C. Tweel, MD, is the Medical Director for the Department of Otolaryngology at the Mount Sinai Health System, Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, and Director of the Mount Sinai Health System Difficult Airway Response Team. He received his medical degree from the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and completed his residency in Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Dr. Tweel treats patients with conditions across a broad range of general otolaryngology. He has particular academic interests in emergency care of the difficult airway, intubation and airway complications, and clinical outcomes research. He has authored numerous textbook chapters and peer-reviewed manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals and has presented research at national and international society meetings.
