William Riley MM is a performing artist, a Voice Trainer and Vocologist in private practice in New York City and Rye NH. He is a world-renowned voice teacher, singer, stage director, a minister of music and has taught at the Voice Foundation Symposia, The Actors Studio, and Westminster Choir College; He has been consultant to Grabscheid Voice Center, Lenox Hill Hospital, The Royal Medical Hospital Amman Jordan, The White House, and The Metropolitan Opera.
Teaching at the University level for over fifty years, he has been invited to teach the subjects of voice, vocal health and opera at over a dozen institutions in the U.S. and abroad, including Yale University, and Universities of Iowa, New Hampshire, Maine, Groningen (Holland), Turku (Finland), and Tulsa. He has repeatedly been an invited speaker at the World Voice Congress, the Acoustical Society of America/Japanese Acoustical Society, and the South African Society of ORL/HNS. He is Master Class teacher at Salzburg’s Festival. He appears on Kennedy Center’s “American Voices”, with Renee Fleming. In 2017 and 2018 Riley delivered the Vocal Pedagogy Tutorial for the Voice Foundation Symposia.

Riley is a Voting Member of NARAS (The Grammy Awards). In 2019, his studio family received 19 Grammy nominations in numerous genres, from classical to jazz to folk. In 2018 six clients won the coveted Grammy Award. He is also a member of The International Horn Society and Opera America.
Over 100 of Riley’s clients appeared at the Metropolitan Opera. Among his clients: Alan Bergman, President Bill Clinton, Paula Cole, Cy Coleman, Bradley Cooper, Celine Dion, Eliane Elias, Lara Fabian, Connie Francis, David Hasselhoff, Faith Hill, Whitney Houston, Angelique Kidjo, Liza Minnelli, Teresa Stratas, Ben Vereen, Usher, Deborah Voigt, Stevie Wonder, and other superstars.
