Over 20 years of active duty service in the Army and Air Force obtaining the rank of Colonel . Completed a surgical residency in Otolarynology in 1998. Fellowship in Neurotology was completed in 2002. Within the DoD, has served in the following leadership positions: Chairman of SAMMC Otolaryngology clinic overseeing 14 Otolaryngologist and 50 support personnel; Associate residency director for the Otolaryngology Residency program; also held appointments within the VA health care system. Is a diplomat of the National Board of Examiners for Physicians / Surgeons and the American College of Surgeons and a Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy. Has been award a clinic designation of “Grand Master clinician” by the Air Force medical service. Has published in over 25 peer review journals and has written 10 book chapters in the medical community. An invited guest speaker at both local and international meetings.
