Dr. Michael S. Benninger is a Professor and Chair of the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine.
He is President of International Association of Phonosurgery, Vice President of the Voice Foundation and Historian of the American Rhinologic Society. He served on the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery for 12 years, and former Vice-President and Chairman-Board of Governors of that organization. He is Past-President of of theTriological Society, American Laryngologic Association and the American Rhinologic Society. He is former Editor-in-Chief of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. He has served on the Residency Review Committee for Otolaryngology and as a member of the Medical Advisory Board for WebMD. He is Past-Chairman of the Sinus and Allergy Health Partnership and Past-Treasurer of the American Bronch-esophagological Society.
Dr Benninger has authored/edited 12 books and has 1 additional book in press. He has also has written over 100 book chapters and over 225 scientific articles, focusing on voice care and laryngology andnasal/sinus disease.
A graduate of Harvard University, Dr. Benninger received his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, and completed his residency at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
