Jordan Varghese is a resident physician-scientist trainee in the Department of Otolaryngology at Washington University in St. Louis. He obtained an MD from Emory University and a BS in Biomedical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Through July 2024, he has dedicated research time funded by the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders. His primary project involves utilizing electrocochleography to better characterize inner ear pathology and predict outcomes for cochlear implant recipients. He will complete a Master of Science in Clinical Investigation from Washington University School of Medicine by Fall 2023 to further develop his research skillset. His primary focus is clinical outcomes research to improve management of hearing loss. He will complete his residency training in 2027 and plans to pursue a career in Neurotology with long-term goals of improving the dissemination and implementation of hearing augmentation in clinical contexts locally, nationally, and globally.
