Emily Evangelista is a third-year Morsani College of Medicine student at the University of South Florida who holds a MS in Biotechnology and Enterprise. Prior to medical school Emily was a research assistant at the Broad Institute of MIT & Harvard's Center for Mendelian Genomics - researching structural variant analysis and curation in rare disease. Currently, Emily is involved in research relating to the utilization of voice as a biomarker of health with assistance from artifical intelligence as a part of the Bridge2AI consortium under the guidance of Dr. Yael Bensoussan. Emily is interested in pursuing a career in otolaryngology and hopes to bring emerging technological innovation and global health into her future practice.
