Melani Zuckerman BA is currently a third year medical student at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. She is passionate about exploring health inequities and safety-net care systems. She previously campaiged Boston University to open a seminar series for premedical students to educate them on health disparities, and as served as a leader of her school's Homeless Health Immersion Experience as well as the Otolaryngology Interest Group. She also took first place in the 2019 BU Idea Cup for her proposal to open a food pantry for food-insecure students at Boston University. She is interested in learning more about how to take her passions for health equity into her future career as an otolaryngologist and how to advocate for underserved populations.
