Yena Kang, BA is a fourth-year medical student at the University of Michigan applying into Otolaryngology this year. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Neurobiology from Cornell University in 2017. Prior to medical school, she was a teaching fellow at Phillips Academy in Andover, MA. Her research interests are in medical education, health disparities, and carceral health. Since starting medical school, Yena's research has included quality improvement, facial nerve reinnervation, and otolaryngologic-care of incarcerated persons.
