Luis Cortina is a 4th-year medical student at Harvard Medical School. He previously worked as a Research Fellow at the Mass Eye and Ear under the leadership of Dr. Mark Varvares. Along with his position at the Mass Eye and Ear, he conducted projects at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center under the leadership of Dr. James Naples. His research primarily focuses on head and neck oncological outcomes as well as improving delivery of care to patients with hearing loss. Prior to medical school, he spent a year at the NIH studying the biochemical and mechanical changes in the aging brain.
