Faysal Haroun, MD is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Hematology & Oncology at the GW School of Medicine & Health Sciences, he has been the hematology and oncology fellowship program director at his innstitution since 2020.
He was awarded his Medical Degree from the American University of Beirut School of Medicine. He completed his Residency in Internal Medicine and Fellowship in Hematology & Oncology at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences where he also served as Assistant Chief of Service (Chief Resident). Dr. Haroun is licensed in the District of Columbia and is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Hematology and the American Medical Association. His special interests include lung cancer and head and neck cancer. Dr. Haroun is focused on genomic drivers of oncogenesis and is also invested in novel therapeutics such as immunotherapy and targeted treatments aimed at improving outcomes for our patients.
