Lauren Pinzás is a current PGY-1 at the University of Chicago. She graduated from Southern Methodist University with dual degrees in Classical Voice and Psychology and earned her M.D. from Baylor College of Medicine with an academic distinction in service learning and care of underserved populations. Other undergraduate and medical school research interests/experiences include vocal fold medialization techniques after thoracic aortic arch repair, pediatric tracheostomy outcomes, complex airway management, immunotherapy targets in squamous cell carcinoma, LGBTQIA+ cultural attitudes and practices, and gender-affirming care. Dr. Pinzás is grateful for the opportunity to present at AAO-HNSF 2023 and is looking forward to attending a number of exciting talks.
