Jeanne L. Hatcher MD, FACS is Associate Professor of Otolaryngology in the Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Hatcher joined Emory in 2014 after completing a fellowship in laryngology and care of the professional voice with Dr. Blake Simpson. Since arriving at Emory, she initially expanded care for complex upper airway and dysphagia disorders. She now works with the multidisciplinary airway team performing open airway reconstruction, endoscopic surgery, and office-based procedures for patients with upper airway stenosis. Dr. Hatcher has also expanded voice care for the transgender population in Atlanta and the Southeast, offering surgical intervention in conjunction with the speech language pathology team providing gender affirming voice therapy. Her research interests include upper airway stenosis and multidisciplinary chronic cough diagnosis and management. She is the Laryngology Fellowship Director and Co-Director of the Emory Voice Center. Dr. Hatcher is also honored to serve on the Emory University School of Medicine Working Wellness Group and Patient Concerns and Review Committee. Dr. Hatcher is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, American Broncho-Esophagological Association, and a Post Graduate Fellow of the American Laryngological Association. She has been an invited speaker at national and international meetings and has written multiple peer-reviewed articles and book chapters.
