James P. Murphy, MD is Head of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, Tamale Teaching Hospital, Ghana and Senior Lecturer, School of Medicine and Health Sciences, University for Development Studies, Tamale, Ghana. He received his BS from College of the Holy Cross, MD from New Jersey Medical School (Rutgers), and otolaryngology residency at Northwestern University. He had a fellowship with Dr. Sebastian Arena, Head and Neck Surgery and a fellowship with Dr. Michael Glasscock, III, Neurotology. Murphy was a Captain in the United States Army. He had a private Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery practice in the United States of America and for the past fifteen years in northern Ghana.
