John Werning MD, DMD is a fellowship-trained head and neck cancer surgeon with the ProMedica Physician Group in Toledo, Ohio. He received his dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania and his medical degree from Temple University. He completed his otolaryngology residency training at the University Hospitals of Cleveland and his fellowship training in Head and Neck Oncologic Surgery at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. Dr. Werning has published more than 80 peer-reviewed articles and contributed to more than 35 book chapters. He is also the editor of the textbook 'Oral Cancer: Diagnosis, Management, and Rehabilitation' (Thieme Medical Publishers, 2007).
