Richard Thrasher, MD is the managing partner of The ENT & Allergy Centers of Texas, PLLC, the largest ENT practice in the Dallas-Ft. Worth metroplex. It is a division of ENT Specialty Partners. He manages 14 otolaryngologists, 5 midlevel providers, and 12 audiologists. He completed his undergraduate degree at The University of Utah, obtained an MD from The University of Connecticut, and completed residency at the University of Colorado before joining the United States Air Force for three and a half years. He then began his solo practice in McKinney, TX in 2007. Recently he merged his practice with other groups in Texas to form ENT Specialty Partners, one of the largest private practices in the country.
Dr. Thrasher has served in multiple medical leadership positions including chief of staff of Baylor Scott & White Medical Center at McKinney among multiple surgery department chair positions, medical executive committees, and peer review committees. Over the last 15 years, he has been directly involved in the interviewing and hiring of healthcare workers at all levels of corporate and private entities. This has included chief executive officers at multiple hospitals and surgery centers, chief nursing officers, physicians, audiologists, nurses, as well as clinical and administrative staff members. He has developed extensive experience identifying the traits and characteristics in applicants both on paper and in interviews which translate to effective team members in practice. He has a passion to help other physicians learn leadership principles that can help enhance the effectiveness of their practices.
