Abhay Sharma, MD is an assistant professor of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at the University of South Florida (USF) in Tampa, FL. He completed his undergraduate degree in Neurobiology at the University of Pennsylvania and attended LSU Health Sciences Center Shreveport for medical school. Dr. Sharma trained at USF for his residency and proceeded to complete a hybrid sleep medicine/surgery fellowship at Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, WI. He is dual board certified in both Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery and Sleep Medicine. His main clinical focus is treating snoring and obstructive sleep apnea with a focus on patients that have difficulty with CPAP therapy. His primary research interests include improving diagnostic capabilities in sleep as well as surgical outcomes for obstructive sleep apnea.
