Carol Bier-Laning, MD, MBA, FACS is Professor of Otolaryngology at Loyola University Medical Center. She serves as the Quality Medical Director for the Department, Medical Director for the Transfer Center and is the Chair and Physician Champion for the Difficult Airway Response Team (DART) Committee at Loyola. She is a fellowship-trained head and neck surgical oncologist. Her clinical and academic interests include salivary endoscopy, transoral robotic surgery, thyroid cancer, mucosal and skin based head and neck cancer, as well as incorporating evidence-based medicine into practice to provide safe, high quality and value-based head and neck health care. Her goal is to change the way healthcare is delivered by making systems streamlined and efficient for providers and patients.
