Dr. Vyas M.N. Prasad is a Consultant Otolaryngologist – Head and Neck surgeon from Singapore with a fellowship in Head and Neck Surgery and Laryngology from Universite Catholique Louvain, Yvoir, Belgium. He was under the mentorship of Professors Marc Remacle and Georges Lawson, both world authorities in robotics, laryngology, head and neck surgery and minimally invasive surgery. He qualified from Trinity College Dublin and thereafter trained in general surgery in the UK where he completed with a dissertation commendation (first class) a Masters in Surgical Science in bariatric surgery at Imperial College London. He thereafter trained in otolaryngology in the Oxford and London deaneries. His head and neck oncological training took him to the Royal Marsden Hospital, Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, Gray’s Inn Road (University College London) and Bart’s and the London. He has experience in paediatric and adult popualtions treating benign and malignant conditions. He has a special interest in robotic surgery, lasers, airway reconstruction and minimally invasive surgery of the head and neck. He has spent considerable time in specialist units focusing on paediatric ENT including head and neck and airway surgery i.e. Great Ormond Street Hospital London, the Nuffield Centre for Hearing at Gray’s Inn Road and Barts and The London NHS Trust. He is a member of the American Broncho-Esophageal Association, British Laryngological association, Asia-Pacific Laryngology Association, European Laryngology Society, memeber of the Editorial Board and reviewer for the European Archives of Otolaryngology, Affiliate of the National Cancer Institute of Singapore and fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology. He has contributed to several book chapters, is the editor of a textbook of Neurolaryngology and has over a hundred peer-reviewed publications and international presentations altogether. He is currently Director of Otolaryngology at Nuffield Medical Singapore.
