Nina W. Zhao, MD, MAEd is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at the University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center and Case Western Reserve Universty. She obtained her undergraduate degree at Washington University in St. Louis and her medical degree at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. She completed residency at the University of California, San Francisco. After residency, she obtained her Master of Arts in Education through the University of California, Berkeley. She completed her fellowship in Laryngology and Bronchoesophagology at the University of California, Davis. Her research interests include outcomes and quality improvement in swallowing disorders as well as program evaluation, assessment, and measurement design in surgical education.
