Miriam Smetak, MD, MS is a first year fellow in Otology-Neurotology at Washington University in St. Louis. She graduated from the University of Southern California with a dual degree in Aerospace Engineering and Archaeology. She then went on to earn her Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering and her M.D. at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. She completed her residency training in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Her research interests include cochlear implantation, medical device innovation, biomedical engineering, and image-guided surgery.
