Wei-Chung Hsu, MD, PhD is currently the Division Chief and Professor of Division of Pediatric Otolaryngology, Department of Otolaryngology, College of Medicine, National Taiwan University, National Taiwan University Hospital and Children’s Hospital. He is also the current President of Taiwan Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology since 2021.
He received his residency training at National Taiwan University Hospital after graduated from Medical School of National Taiwan University. He also got his PhD degree from Institute of Occupational Medicine and Industrial Hygiene, Colleague of Public Health, National Taiwan University.
He is one of the founding members of Asian Paediatric Otolaryngology Group (APOG) and being the President of APOG from 2013-2015. He is also an active members of American Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology (ASPO), European Society of Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology (ESPO) and Inter-american Association of Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology (IAPO), who has received 2012 ASPO International Visiting Scholar Award and selected as member of CORLAS (Collegium Oto-Rhino-Laryngologicum Amicitiae Sacrum) since 2016. He also finished his research fellowship as a visiting scholar in the Department of Pediatric Otolaryngology, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center from 2017 to 2018. As an honor, he was nominated as the representative of Asian area in the International Working Group of Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology (IWGPO), which is the core leading board member of World Congress of Pediatric ENT since 2018.
He is interested in the pediatric airway endoscopy and airway reconstructive surgery, pediatric sleep apnea and competence-based medical education, which has been involved in many aspects of researches, invited as guest speakers and published many papers in the SCI journals.
